#Sandesh2Soldiers campaign: PM Modi urges citizens to send Diwali wishes to soldiers
On October 30, when the entire nation will be celebrating the festival of lights, Diwali, the armed forces will be busy doing their duties on the borders, away from their families and celebrations, just to keep us safe.
So, to make their Diwali special Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made an appeal to the citizens of India to remember the country's armed forces this Diwali by sending them wishes through a campaign named #Sandesh2Soldiers.

This is a 360-degree campaign which includes a four-minute video featuring Modi, that the PMO hopes will "make waves" across the social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter. As per reports, the campaign will be spearheaded by Narendra Modi himself.

Reportedly, the idea came from Modi himself earlier this week. He will read out some of the messages sent by the people during his 'Mann ki Baat' radio programe on Sunday. Doordarshan and All India Radio will also have special programmes for the campaign, which will be endorsed by many celebrities.

Apart from Facebook and Twitter, one can also send their messages to the soldiers through Narendra Modi mobile app, MyGov app, and through radio.

Following the appeal made by the Prime Minister Modi, Khiladi actor Akshay Kumar and playback singer Kailash Kher have sent meaningful Sandesh to our jawans.
